The Mullingar St Patrick's Day Parade will be held on 17th March 2023 at 3pm. Parade will start at the Green Bridge and finish at Millmount Rd (SF Coynes) There will be a quiet section from An Post, Austin Friar Street, Mullingar to Millmount Rd (SF Coynes) MC for the event will be Mullingar's Daniel Boyne. There will be children's entertainment on Church Avenue and Castle Street from 1pm to 4.30pm. There will also be a puppet show on the viewing stand at Dominick's Street at 2pm and music playing in various locations throughout the town.

Quiet Section - A new initiative for this year’s parade involves catering for those who may have sensory issues as we are aware the loud noises and whistles of the parade can be quite distressing at times. Our Sensory Area will be at the bottom of Austin Friar Street and will be signposted as such, there will be volunteers stationed here who will assist in ensuring all parade goers can enjoy our parade. In this area parents and children  of those with sensory issues will be able to enjoy all the sights and spectacle of St. Patrick’s Day without the loud sounds as participants in the parade will be encouraged to take into account the needs of others to insure the parade is a joy for all. There will also be designated Children's entertainment in our kids section for those with similar needs. Please email us on if you have any questions in relation to this.

We are looking for all businesses and communities to get involved in this years parade. It has been many years since Mullingar held a parade and we are looking forward to creating a weekend to remember for St Patrick's Weekend 2023.
